We are so excited to introduce you to one of our highest requested features: Scheduled Blog Posts! Publishing fresh content on your sites on a regular basis is important for bringing new and returning visitors to your sites. With the new Schedule Blog Post capability, you’ve got a content management tool built right into your blog. Use it to set up blog posts in advance, so you can plan your content strategy, manage resources, and keep your sites filled with fresh, relevant content.
Adding tags to your blog posts makes it easier for readers to find what they’re looking for. It’s now easier, too, with the tag autofill, which makes tagging posts quicker and ensures that the tags are consistent and error-free. Once you’ve got tags in your posts, filter the posts in the All Posts widget, so all of the posts relating to that topic show up in the widget. This makes it easy to customize the blog posts you display to specific pages of your site and ensure that no posts are missed.
You can now move sites with rich blogs on other platforms to Web wisconsin with the new RSS feed import. The posts will look almost identical once they are in our blog, plus you’ll have the full flexibility of the Web Wisconsin editor and the Web Wisconsin blog for designing, managing, and optimizing them for SEO.
New blogs now automatically back up with sites, making the blog backup process seamless and giving you another great reason to update old blogs to the new blog platform (if you haven’t done so already). The new process means you’ll never have to worry about backing up blog content separately from your site. Since the new blog is integrated into the site, any time you restore a site version, it includes that version's blog and posts. For old blogs, the process remains unchanged.
If you’ve got sites with old blogs, we’ve got some great news. If those blogs have up to 20 posts, you can now update them to the new blog platform. Your posts will look the same after they’ve been moved to the new platform, and you’ll enjoy all the flexibility, consistency and management tools that come with the new blog. This includes having full design freedom over the content of individual posts and powerful management tools so you can update posts and search through posts that have already been published. You’ll never need to worry about saving posts as you work (they’re automatically saved, just like the rest of the platform) and SEO for every blog post is easy to implement.
