What is "Success" for Website Design and Digital Marketing?


Same Goal, Different Roles 
As a digital marketing agency, we use as many tools as our clients enable us, to help them become more successful at what they do in their business. Our company and our clients have a mutual goal: to help them gain more customers, traffic and ultimately profits, however our success is not necessarily measured that way. Our success is measured differently than yours because we have a different role to play in achieving our ultimate mutual goal of you making more profits.


First Down
One of the best analogies to explain this is football. Our role in our mutual goal is similar to that of a Quarterback passing the ball to the receiver. He throws the ball to the Receiver, who is waiting at the 20 yard line. Now the ball must be thrown with accuracy, control, the right amount of spiral, pitch & speed. However, once the ball leaves the fingertips of the Quarterback, he no longer has any control over what happens next in the play. The Quarterback throws the ball to the Receiver at the 20 yard line to make the First Down.
Touch Down
At this point it is solely up the Receiver to be in the right position, to catch the ball correctly & to run the ball into the end zone for the touchdown. The Quarterback’s job is to throw the ball into the red zone to the Receiver, but once that ball is in his zone, it is completely up to the Receiver to now convert that play from a First Down to a Touch Down. Similarly, our role is not necessarily to make you have customers that hand you their cash in exchange for your products or services. Our role in our mutual goal is to get your visitors into the “red zone” so you can make the winning play to convert them into paying customers. 

Conclusion
Therefore we determine the successfulness of our performance, as your web design and internet marketing agency, based on these factors: aesthetics, search rank, visitor engagement & click-thru ratios. These will drive your future visitors to engage in the web presence we have provided for you and then it is your role, as the business, to convert those new leads into customers. This is how we achieve success, by both of us performing our independent roles with excellence so that you we can achieve our mutual goal, the growth of your business and profits.
